CSIA Level 1 Ski Instructor CourseFernie, Canada - 4 Weeks

Big Mountain Training

Our 4 week ski instructor course in Fernie is one of our most popular programs! Fernie is the perfect place to push the boundaries of your skiing and get your CSIA Level 1. With coaching from leading instructors, you'll be ripping the mountain like a pro in no time.

Resort

With all this, Fernie Alpine Resort really is the place to be! We could rant on all day with reasons to visit. Nonstop was founded as a result of our love of this amazing resort.

There are five bowls filled with a huge variety of challenging terrain, the snow record is off the chart and there are bearly any lift lines. If you want to ski powder this winter, without fighting for fresh tracks, Fernie is the place to be. Renowned for its "legendary powder", Fernie averages 48cms of snow every week that the resort is open. It doesn't get better than that!

Plus the charming old mining town combines a chilled out friendly vibe with a fun and lively nightlife.

Coaching

We formed Nonstop in Fernie in 2002 and most of our team have been with us since the very start. Our dedicated and highly skilled CSIA Level 3 and 4 instructors know exactly how to provide the perfect training experience.

Over a fairly short period of time we will totally transform your technique and will have you confidently skiing the entire mountain, with the style and elegance of an instructor. By the time you reach your CSIA ski instructor exams in the final week of the course, you'll have all the skills required to pass your newly refined technique on to others.

Our 4 week instructor courses are a combination of ski improvement coaching and instructor training ensuring both your personal skiing develops and you're prepared for the instructor exam. Although this is a great stepping stone to the Canadian instructor industry, many people come on this course without any plans to become a ski instructor.

We will drastically improve your skiing technique and confidence around the whole mountain. By learning how to teach, analyse and correct skiing from the ground up, you'll be able to progress your own skiing even after the course has finished.

Weekends & Activities

Although you'll be spending a lot of time exploring Fernie's amazing ski area, there’s so much else that we'll help your to squeeze into your stay.

In the evenings we'll organise technical sessions and loads of social events, such as trips to see the local ice hockey team. Plus, we can also get you on an avalanche safety course and a cat-skiing day (where you'll ski fresh backcountry snow all day!).
