Join this early-season camp in Cervinia to kick your winter off like the pros do. Get coached by top Canadian snowboard instructor, Clarence Gagnon, on Italy's perfect slopes and fine tune your technique so you are ready to take on the mountains!
Cervinia and Zermatt offer some of the best and most reliable early season conditions in the Alps thanks to their high altitude and glaciers. The resorts provide a great environment to hone your skills and start your winter in style. You’ll mainly be riding on the Italian side of the Zermatt Glacier with the Matterhorn in the backdrop.
We’ve chosen the town of Breuil‑Cervinia as our base. With plenty of great shops, restaurants and bars, surrounded by awesome peaks, this is a special town for a short ride break.
This camp is designed to fine tune your technique using the fantastic pistes of Cervinia and Zermatt where you’ll focus on the fundamentals, setting you up for a great season. Long wide groomers are the perfect way to iron out any early season issues and start your winter strongly.
Coaching will be focused on your own personal improvement with outcomes such as how to find your balance whether you are carving or buttering, developing movements to get the most efficiency out of your board, increasing speed and building confidence in the fall‑line; everything to make you a better rider where and when it counts the most.
For this course, our Snowboard Technical Director – Clarence Gagnon – comes over from Fernie in Canada to take charge on this camp. He has a wealth of experience teaching various courses in many different locations. He is a CASI Level 4 instructor since 2016 and a CASI course conductor since 2008, and is one the key trainers of the Fernie Winter Sports School.
You'll receive four full days of coaching. This course is designed so you can start your season like a pro, work on the fundamentals of your ski technique and iron out any early season issues to set yourself up for a successful winter.
You'll stay in Hotel Mignon right in the centre of town.
You'll be treated to a continental breakfast each morning.
You'll be given a five day lift pass for the Cervinia and Zermatt ski area. On the final day there is no coaching but your lift pass will cover you.
If you book our suggested flight or coordinate your travel around these timings then you can take advantage of our airport transfers.
Your host will ensure your course runs smoothly. They'll be on hand 24/7 for a chat, laugh, or to solve any problems.
Throughout the program our coaches will make the most of technical video analysis to help with your development.
These things are not included in the package:
We can never 'guarantee' snow, however historically Cervinia has proved to have reliable snow conditions during the early season and our coaches are highly skilled at utilising the terrain they have open to them to accomplish the objectives.
We also have the option to ride the glacier if snow coverage within the resort is variable.
We advise that you fly to Milan Linate (Italy). This is where the pre-arranged Nonstop transfer will depart from.
The Nonstop transfer will depart at approx 1900 on the day your course begins, so you should arrive at least one hour before this. The return transfer to MIlan Linate will aim to drop you off at the airport at approx. 1645
Please contact us in the office for further details.
We look forward to speaking with you.
