Early Season Ski CampCervinia, Italy - 1 Week

Start The Season Like A Pro

If you’re itching to click into your skis and kick your season off in style, join our pre-season camp in Cervinia. Based in the beautiful Aosta Valley, this Italian escape features five days of pro coaching and technique tips to boost your skills, plus a morning of freeskiing to bookend the trip. Nestled in the Alps and connected to Switzerland's Zermatt, the mega ski area is known for its great early-season snow, immaculate pistes and high-altitude glacier.

Each day you'll explore the Italian-Swiss slopes in small, sociable groups as you get miles into your legs. You’ll spend your lunches in mountainside restaurants, followed by evenings soaking up Italian culture with new friends. Accommodation is in cosy, friendly chalets, with daily breakfasts, hosting, airport transfers and a 6-day lift pass included.

Youll love this course if: you’re ready for an early season kick-start with a focus on progression, you enjoy a chilled-out resort vibe with an Italian twist, you’d like to meet a like-minded group of friends.

Resort

Cervinia is Italys most snow-sure resort. Known for its high-altitude slopes, silky snow and Matterhorn views, Cervinia mixes an authentic Italian atmosphere with varied skiing and snowboarding.

Located in the Valle dAosta, in the northwest region of Italy, Cervinia is connected to Zermatt in Switzerland. The collective ski area is colossal with more than 350km of slopes spread across a sea of jagged peaks.

The long, mellow runs and high-alpine views of Cervinia are hard to beat, including an 8km red run that descends 1,800m from the Plateau Rosa. The combination with Zermatt gives access to series of steeper and more challenging pitches, perfect for an extra dose of adrenaline.

The resort village is situated at 2,050m, based around a car-free cobblestoned main street. Theres a relaxed atmosphere in the town with a great selection of local bars and restaurants. Après and live music options are good without being overly rowdy, starting on the slope terraces by mid-afternoon.

Coaching

This camp is designed with a simple aim: build on your technique to prepare you for a great season. Just like the pros, we gather to kick our bodies and minds into gear with a pre-season boot camp in a beautiful setting.

Our coaches join this camp from Canada and France, tasked with bringing their skills and know-how to the Aosta Valley. Using the magnificent terrain of Cervinia and Zermatt, well develop your technique as we get ski miles into your legs. The focus is on personal development, with technique tips to boost your balance, edging, timing, and speed in the fall line.

Each day is spent in small, sociable groups of up to six, matched by ability via a survey we use before you arrive. Coaching features drills and guided mileage, followed by video analysis in the evenings to reflect on the days progress. Youll meet the group in the morning before a full day on the slopes, with a break for lunch to rest and refuel.

***Spring Camp

WE'RE HEADING BACK FOR SPRING. Join us for a spring-session camp focused on technical coaching in small groups. A great way to finish your season in style with a like-minded crew of riders, enjoy pro coaching and video analysis, beautiful spring skiing, plus Italian culture and a social vibe.

Nestled high in the Italian Alps, snow-sure Cervinia is connected to Switzerland’s Zermatt and boasts a long season into May with a high-altitude glacier to boot - the perfect location for a late-season blow-out. Whether we’re riding soft spring slush or a late-season top-up, pro coaching is focussed on technique tips and drills to boost your skiing and style. Featuring sun-fueled al-fresco lunches, spring-time après and delicious local restaurants, this is the Nonstop way to book-end the season.

We'll be staying in the cosy Hotel Mignon, with breakfasts, transfers and your lift pass all included. Very limited spaces are available on this one, so if you're keen to join, get in touch with us asap. Scroll for dates and prices.

Accommodation

The cosy Hotel Mignon is our base for the camp. A traditional mountain chalet with comfortable rooms, a restaurant serving traditional Italian home cooking and a finely stocked cellar. Once we have filled Hotel Mignon, we will use the equally charming Hotel Miravidi.

FAQs

Will the snow be good enough at this time of year? +

We can never 'guarantee' snow, however historically Cervinia has proved to have reliable snow conditions during the early season and our coaches are highly skilled at utilising the terrain they have open to them to accomplish the objectives.

We also have the option to ski on the glacier if snow coverage within the resort is variable.

Where do I need to fly to and what flight do I need to get? +

We will release flight & transfer information a bit nearer to the time of your trip. Over the last few years, BA and EasyJet have both made multiple changes to the flight schedules that we've based our plans around so we've decided that it's sensible to wait a while before booking flights.

April 2023 Trip - our transfers will from Turin Airport

Should I bring my own skis? +

This is completely up to you! In previous years it's been about a 50:50 split between clients bringing their own gear and those who simply rent gear when they arrive. We have established a good relationship with a local ski shop who stock excellent gear and offer reasonable rates. We send clients up to date price lists prior to their departure so they can make an informed decision.
