A Typical Week Here's how a typical week in Banff will go down.
Sat
Meet our team at Calgary airport for a 1730 airport transfer departure – it’s a 90-minute drive to Banff. Settle in to your hotel room for an early night.
Sun
Head into town if you’re in the market for gear or head straight up to the mountain to get your legs back. Get to know your comrades and enjoy dinner with your coach to discuss your goals.
Mon
The first day of coaching. Your coach will be getting their first insight into your skiing and will be giving you constructive feedback to work on. Enjoy an evening meal out in Banff with your group.
Tue
Another day, another mountain. Continue your progression from day one but in new surroundings. If we were at Sunshine Village yesterday, chances are we’ll be exploring Lake Louise today.
Wed
No coaching, and an opportunity to go free skiing at your favourite hill or take the day off and relax in the natural hot springs. There’s also the opportunity to go cat skiing at Fortress Mountain.
Thu
Skills are being consolidated and you’re approaching terrain with newfound confidence. The week is going so fast – those staying for one week are envious of those that sticking around for two.
Fri
We’ll cover as much terrain as we can. We’ll use video analysis to compare your skiing from the start of the program – massive progression achieved.

FAQs

What time are the airport transfers? +

We offer airport transfers from Calgary airport. You’ll be met in the International Arrivals Hall by your course host; our planned departure time is 1730. On the return trip to Banff, we will drop you off at the airport by 1530. It’s a 90-minute drive.

Can I book a twin room even if I am coming alone? +

Absolutely! The majority of our clients come alone but sharing a room is a great way to save money; we pair likeminded people together based upon responses to a questionnaire you’ll complete prior to arrival.

What’s the deal with meals? +

Breakfasts are included and served seven days per week at the hotel restaurant. Lunches are not included & participants will generally buy lunch on the mountain. Dinners are not included but three nights a week our host will arrange a group reservation at a restaurant so that we can all enjoy evenings as a group. On the other evening’s you’re free to make your own plans but usually participants will eat together at one of Banff’s many great restaurants or pubs.

How are the ski groups arranged? +

We plan for ski groups of six skiers to one instructor (max. class size is 7 but it’s extremely rare to have 7 in a group); we arrange these groups according to your experience & goals for the course.

Who will be on the course? +

This course is suitable for skiers who consider themselves early intermediates right through to experts. The average age of participants on our short courses is 42, which is often older than people had expected!
