Fernie Level 2 Snowboard Instructor Course
If you already have your CASI Level 1, this is the best way to progress to the next level. With CASI Level 2, you’ll become far more employable in snow schools around the world.
Learn from the very best snowboard instructors
As well as being a massive amount of fun, our Nonstop courses provide an excellent learning experience for trainee instructors. It’s for that reason that we are world renowned for producing excellent Level 2 instructors. Over the course of six weeks, you’ll learn from the very best snowboard instructor trainers. They’ll increase your confidence and teach you to ride the most challenging areas of the mountain, while ensuring that you can pass on snowboarding technique with the authority of a high level professional. Watch this brief introduction to some of our instructors.
There couldn't be a better place to spend six weeks
Fernie is an amazing resort to spend six weeks! With the new extension of the “Polar Peak” chairlift, it now has the longest vertical and more runs than anywhere else in the Canadian Rockies. As well as having an amazing expanse of fun and challenging terrain, Fernie has a ridiculously high snowfall record. Steep and deep powder days are never far away, and our instructors will take you straight to the very best stashes!
Passing your CASI Level 2
To get through your Level 2 exams, you will need to demonstrate a high level of skill on your board and have the ability to ride a variety of terrain and snow conditions with confidence. You’ll also need a very good understanding of intermediate technique and demonstrate your ability to teach it confidently, within well organised lessons. With six weeks of guidance, instruction and expert advice from our instructors, you’ll be fully prepared for the finals.
Make yourself at home with the perfect accommodation
We bought and refurbished our very own 42 bedroom lodge in 2007 specifically for our course accommodation, so you’ll have absolutely everything you could need on-hand. Rooms are spacious, with en-suite bathrooms and queen-sized beds, plus a wealth of shared amenities including a games room, movie room, hot tub, sauna, kit tuning room, restaurant and bar. Weekday breakfasts and four evening meals a week are also included, so we’ll make sure that you keep your energy levels up.
