Whistler University (Level 1 & instructor job)

Nonstop’s Whistler University is a dream opportunity for you to gain CSIA Level 1 and go on to work as a ski instructor in the Whistler Blackcomb Snow School for the rest of the season. As you can imagine, jobs in such a world renowned resort are hard to come by, so this is an amazing route into the industry.

Training with the world’s best. You’ll arrive in Whistler early in the season and start training with Whistler’s best high level instructors. As you spend your days having fun and skiing this amazing resort, our instructors will help you to refine your technique and learn how to pass your skills on to other people. Their aim is to get you through your CSIA Level 1 exams in the 4th week of the course.

A season of instructing. By qualifying early in the season, you’ll be ready to join the Whistler Blackcomb Snow School in time for the Christmas rush, where you’ll start taking your own beginner and novice lessons as a fully paid ski instructor!

Settling in to the lifestyle. From the beginning of the course you’ll stay in Whistler Blackcomb’s staff accommodation, so you’ll be settled in for the season before you even qualify. As a member of Whistler Blackcomb staff, you’ll get big discounts on food and you can buy “meal cards”, that will allow you to get full meals at rock bottom price. Plus, we’ll get you all together for an inclusive group meal once per week for the first four weeks, while you’re on the instructor course.

Going forward. If you’re looking to carry on instructing after the first season, having Nonstop and Whistler Blackcomb on your CV will be extremely valuable and will make you stand out to Ski School Directors around the world. Having been through Nonstop’s programme, we’ll also be on hand whenever you need to advise you how and when is best to apply to particular schools, so stay in touch!
