Season long
Ski instructor job - Canada
This season-long ski instructor job with Fernie Alpine Resort is an extension of our 3 week instructor course and is the perfect opportunity for those wanting to qualify and instruct in the same season.
The perfect shortcut into the instructor industry
It would be hard to find a better place in the world to work as a ski instructor than Fernie Alpine Resort. Not only is its fun and challenging terrain amazing for your own skiing, but it attracts the kind of patrons that will be a joy to instruct. It is a resort that you’ll always want to go back to and for that reason many of the instructors who have qualified with us since 2002 have gone on to work and progress in Fernie Ski School.
Get a guaranteed ski instructor job
With a guaranteed job offer before you’ve even qualified as an instructor, this is an amazing kick-start to a ski instructor career. After your initial three week course, you'll start working straight away at Fernie Alpine Resort's Winter Sports School.
Positions are limited and successful applicants for the program will be selected based on their work and social experience, as well as their technical skiing ability.
Nonstop's world-renowned training
Starting on Boxing Day, you’ll take part in our 3 week instructor course in Fernie and our team of highly experienced instructors will refine you’re skiing technique, while showing you the very best way to teach others. For full details check out our 3 week instructor course page.
Once you’ve qualified you’ll then be inducted straight into Fernie Alpine Resort’s Winter Sports School, where you’ll work until the end of the season.
Every year dozens of our course graduates go on to work in Fernie. So if you don't make it onto this program, you could still get a job after completing one of our other courses.
Accommodation for the season. Having good accommodation can really make a difference to your season. Often first-season instructors share dorm-style rooms, but with this program you’ll stay in a twin room in a really comfortable house and it will be yours from the middle of December until the middle of April.
How to apply. First of all register your interest in this course here, and then start preparing a CV and covering letter, including any relevant experience. We’d particularly like to hear if you have any previous coaching, teaching, presentation or leadership experience. In addition, we’d like to know how much skiing experience you have.
