Queenstown

New Zealand

Southern Hemisphere Skiing

The Remarkables and Coronet Peak are the two main ski areas in Queenstown. Both resorts are conveniently located close to Queenstown and offer some of the most stunning and exhilarating ski terrain in the Southern Hemisphere. With over 400 hectares of skiable terrain, both ski fields have something for everyone, from easy slopes to advanced piste and off-piste skiing.

Mountain

The far reaching boundaries spread over two large basins - Saddle and Home - and the mountain offers up the longest vertical in the Southern Lakes. The terrain offers an off piste paradise with some of the Southern Hemisphere's best free skiing through steep untracked powder.

The basins provide a unique experience with panoramic views free from development allowing you to enjoy steep chutes, wide faces, drop offs, thrilling gullies, powder bowls and no grooming. Added to this, the slopes are practically empty resulting in fresh lines all day long on a powder day. One thing that never changes between any of the resorts is the warm, local hospitality, and great skiing.

Town

You will be staying in the town of Wanaka which is a beautiful small alpine resort surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the World Heritage listed National Park of the Southern Alps. There is a relaxed and welcoming feel to the town, along with a wealth of restaurants, cafes and bars.

With over 40 bars and pubs to choose from, the town comes to life during the winter season. If you fancy sampling the local off-snow entertainment you can choose from mountain biking, skydiving and other activities fit for any outdoor enthusiast.
