Red Mountain has been voted by many publications as having the best skiing in Canada as well as some of the best tree runs in the world. With 360 degree skiing around three mountains, there's plenty of powder, steep runs, tree chutes, powder fields and open glades. It's definitely well worth a visit!
Red Mountain enjoys a legendary status among North America's hard-core skiers and snowboarders. Opened in 1947, Red is one of Canada's oldest resorts and has a reputation as a powder heaven with some of Canada's most challenging terrain.
This is a mountain that will push even the most experienced skiers and snowboarders - Red produces more national team racers than anywhere else in the country! It may not be well known amongst Europeans but in Canada, Red is renowned for deep snow, exciting terrain and absolutely zero crowds.
Rossland will be your home for the season - it is arguably the friendliest town on the planet and everyone is obsessed with skiing and snowboarding! It's a small town with a great vibe. You'll settle in quickly with a couple of local pubs serving tasty grub, and there's always live music and house parties a plenty.
Our Red Mountain course offers world-class skiing with no lift queues, empty pistes and a fantastic friendly atmosphere. Plus it's the best value ski and snowboard instructor course on the market! If you do find a cheaper course, it won't have anywhere near the same high level of tuition & inspiring, challenging terrain. What's not to love about all that!
On our Red Mountain program you’ll stay in local houses in the heart of Rossland. With your own front door you’ll be living like a local and quickly become a part of the close Rossland community. Being able to relax in your own lounge at the end of a hard day on the mountain is unbeatable. You’ll feel like you've properly ‘lived’ in Canada at the end of your time…a true seasonaire experience.
Your fellow participants will be your housemates and often become lifelong friends. Most people choose to share a room although single rooms are available for those looking for more privacy.
All properties have kitchens, comfortable sitting rooms, cable TV, Wi-Fi and laundry facilities.

Having instructed at numerous resorts in Canada and spent the last 11 years instructing in Australia I have made Rossland and Red Mountain my home.
I am a CSIA Level 4 examiner (as high as they come!) and a member of the CSIA national demonstration team representing Canadian ski instructors at an international level. I am also the former CSIA Western Programme Director overseeing all CSIA instructor training and examinations.
I came here to Red Mountain for one thing, and that is to be challenged every day I ride. This mountain will challenge even the best of the best. It has everything you need to exceed your limits. The Nonstoppers that come here to Red Mountain get real Canadian living in an amazing mountain town, Rossland. They also come with a snowboard or skis in hand and when they leave it's hard to get that equipment off their feet and smiles off their faces........ They can Shred Red!!
I am a CASI level 3 snowboard instructor, Level 1 park instructor and carving instructor. I am also a CASI Level 1 & 2 evaluator.

I truly believe that the Nonstop course at Red Mountain is like no other. Firstly, you will find a challenge everywhere you go at Red Mountain. Secondly, there is no crowd out here, you will rarely have to queue at the bottom of a lift. Thirdly, Rossland is a small Canadian town in the heart of the Kootenays in British Columbia where everyone is friendly to each other and says hi on the streets to visitors as well as locals.
When doing the Nonstop program here at Red, the pros live the experience with you, on snow, during the après-ski, social activities or just chilling out at your condos. You'll have the chance to see closely how these guys and gals live the ski and snowboard life. Come join us.
I am a CSIA Level 4 ski instructor, CSCF Level 2 and CASI Level 1 snowboard instructor.
My gig with Nonstop is probably the best! I sometimes feel guilty for it but I am almost sure nobody hates me for it! I get to jump from one wicked resort to the next while leading my guests through the Snow Safaris. To me, that is why the Nonstop experience is so amazing. Every new hill we arrive at, my job is to show my interim family every sweet spot the mountain is hiding. By the time we have sessioned each lift, it’s time to pack up and explore the next one. One Trick Pony, Kill the Banker, Beer Belly and Easter Bowl are only few favourite runs, come find yours!
I am a CASI Level 3 snowboard instructor, Level 2 course conductor, Park 1 and carving instructor.
