2 week
Fernie Development & Performance camps
Experience and progress far more than you ever could on your annual one week trip. Our camps will see you smashing through boundaries in your technique.
Ski or ride with more confidence and tackle dream terrain
Our 2 week camps are designed for skiers and snowboarders with a range of abilities, who want to progress to the next level or just be shown around epic freeride terrain. We have several different ability groups on each course, so everyone feels comfortable with the pace and progression.
The camps are broadly divided into two:
Development Camps - Build your technique and confidence
Are you ready to step up your technique and start riding new and exciting areas of the mountain?
Our development groups are for intermediates with less all-mountain experience. We’ll tighten up your technique on the piste before showing you how to tackle bumps and powder. By the end of the two weeks, the whole mountain will be your playground!
Performance Camps - Hit the best terrain from the first day
Do you want to cut straight to the chase and sniff out the pow?
Our performance groups are for more experienced skiers and snowboarders who want to hit the best and most challenging parts of the mountain from the first day. We won’t waste any time in hunting out the very best powder stashes and showing you how to perfect your technique.
Train with the best
Fernie attracts some of the world’s best ski and snowboard coaches, many of whom have made this incredible ski town their permanent home. We have been lucky enough to secure the very best to work on our programs – what our instructors don’t know about skiing and snowboarding isn’t worth knowing! Over this two week training camp you’ll benefit from their collective decades of experience, as they help you master the basics or refine those high-end mountain skills. Meet our ski instructors in this video or snowboard instructors in this video.
Fernie's terrain and snow record make it ideal for our camps
Fernie Alpine Resort has a legendary status in Canada, and rightly so! Not only does Fernie have the longest vertical and largest ski area in the Canadian Rockies, but it's five huge bowls offer some of the most exciting and varied off-piste terrain in the world. The mountain also boasts a great variation of groomed runs for those who are not yet ready to jump straight into the off-piste, so there really is something for everyone.
Consistently good snow
We can’t predict the weather, but if you're looking for powder, Fernie has an amazing track record! Fernie regularly exceeds over 29ft per winter and an average of 48cm per week that the resort’s open.
Chill out, relax and enjoy your holiday
Having so much great terrain to explore is tiring, so we know how important rest is. With that in mind we provide excellent accommodation for your stay in Fernie at our very own Red Tree Lodge. We have completely refurbished and redesigned the lodge to be the perfect accommodation for ski and snowboard courses. It boasts comfortable and spacious rooms and a host of excellent facilities, including hot tub, sauna, bar, restaurant, games room, full kitchen facilities and a great ski and snowboard storage room with boot heaters.
