Fernie Development & Performance camps

Experience and progress far more than you ever could on your annual one week trip. Our camps will see you smashing through boundaries in your technique.

Ski or ride with more confidence and tackle dream terrain

ski and snowboard course Fernie Our 2 week camps are designed for skiers and snowboarders with a range of abilities, who want to progress to the next level or just be shown around epic freeride terrain. We have several different ability groups on each course, so everyone feels comfortable with the pace and progression.

The camps are broadly divided into two:

Development Camps - Build your technique and confidence

Fernie chair liftAre you ready to step up your technique and start riding new and exciting areas of the mountain?

Our development groups are for intermediates with less all-mountain experience. We’ll tighten up your technique on the piste before showing you how to tackle bumps and powder. By the end of the two weeks, the whole mountain will be your playground!

Performance Camps - Hit the best terrain from the first day

Our performance groups are for more experienced skiers and snowboarders who want to hit the best and most challenging parts of the mountain from the first day. We won’t waste any time in hunting out the very best powder stashes and showing you how to perfect your technique.

Ashley Moscrop on 2 week Canadian holiday
From day one the course was thorough, informative, challenging but above all great fun. I really feel I have gained a lot more confidence on the slopes and have made it down parts of the mountain I never thought I would even try. My instructor Jesse has been truly awesome and really understood and managed the group to get the best out of us. I have found all the Nonstop staff on slope and at the lodge to be friendly, courteous, professional and a lot of fun. It has felt well organized at all times. I am already thinking about coming back to do another course!

Train with the best

Fernie instructorsFernie attracts some of the world’s best ski and snowboard coaches, many of whom have made this incredible ski town their permanent home. We have been lucky enough to secure the very best to work on our programs – what our instructors don’t know about skiing and snowboarding isn’t worth knowing! Over this two week training camp you’ll benefit from their collective decades of experience, as they help you master the basics or refine those high-end mountain skills. Meet our ski instructors in this video or snowboard instructors in this video.

Fernie's terrain and snow record make it ideal for our camps

Skiing powder in FernieFernie Alpine Resort has a legendary status in Canada, and rightly so! Not only does Fernie have the longest vertical and largest ski area in the Canadian Rockies, but it's five huge bowls offer some of the most exciting and varied off-piste terrain in the world. The mountain also boasts a great variation of groomed runs for those who are not yet ready to jump straight into the off-piste, so there really is something for everyone.

Consistently good snow

We can’t predict the weather, but if you're looking for powder, Fernie has an amazing track record! Fernie regularly exceeds over 29ft per winter and an average of 48cm per week that the resort’s open.

If people are looking to come and ski somewhere that has fantastic terrian, but experience true Canadian spirit at the same time, then Fernie is for them! Go, enjoy, and go again (I know I'll be back)!
