Performance & Development camps in Fernie
Do you want to get more from your ski or snowboard vacation? Our 1 week camps are designed for you to break through barriers in your technique, whilst exploring the very best terrain.
Make the most of your precious time in the mountains
Going away for a 1 week trip and exploring the resort on your own is fun, and so is joining the resort’s ski school, but there’s so much more that you can experience. One week vacations don’t come around often enough, so it’s really important you make the most of your precious mountain time.
Instead of wasting time hunting down the best areas of the mountain, let our highly qualified team of coaches take you there from the first day, whilst giving you tips, drills and feedback that will boost your technique and broaden your horizons.
We run two types of camps, to match your skill level and objectives:
Development Camps – Improve your technique to make the most of your surroundings
If you enjoy groomed runs but feel a little restricted by your technique, our Development Camps are sure to boost your confidence. Fernie is the ideal resort to start enjoying the wonders of un-groomed snow. Our pros will tighten up every aspect of your technique, so that the transition to more advanced terrain seems effortless and, more importantly, a lot of fun!
Performance Camps – Get straight into the steep and deep
If you’re a confident skier or snowboarder and want to get straight to the best powder stashes and challenging terrain, our Performance Camps are for you! Fernie has an amazing variety of advanced terrain and our powder-addict pros will know the best places to go at any given moment. Of course, everyone needs pointers to help tighten their technique and there are always bigger challenges to conquer. On a Performance Camp you will reach all your goals.
Boost your confidence around the whole mountain with top class coaching
Our pros aren’t your typical ski school instructors. They are only the most experienced and highly qualified skiers and snowboarders. They teach every skill level and spend a lot of their time actually teaching other instructors! There really isn’t anyone better prepared to guide you around this sensational alpine resort.
Fernie Alpine Resort – Explore five bowls of dream terrain
Fernie Alpine Resort’s consistent snow record and exciting terrain make it the perfect place to spend a one week vacation. Although you may not want to leave afterwards!
Rolling Stone have called it “North America’s Coolest Town” and that infectious vibe spreads onto the slopes. On average 48cm of snow falls in Fernie per week, which means there are a ridiculous amount of powder days. The sheer size and availability of terrain to suit all standards of skiers and snowboarders is breathtaking. There are more trails and a higher vertical than anywhere else in the Canadian Rockies.
