Fernie Alpine Resort has so much going for it; there really isn't a better place to train for your CSIA Level 2. It combines five bowls each with a massive amount of ungroomed "steep and deep" terrain, making this a great place to train and will lead to a super steep progression curve.
Average snowfall is unbelievable and makes it Canada's "home of legendary powder"! The fun doesn't stop off the mountain. This traditional Canadian town has a welcoming and friendly vibe, while the bustling bars and restaurants of downtown Fernie are always great for a night out.
Nonstop are renowned globally for producing excellent CSIA Level 2 ski instructors. We do that by providing an amazing experience for those on our courses.
Over six weeks, you'll get focussed training and direction from the most respected instructors in the business. Your all-mountain skiing technique will massively improve, as you spend every day exploring the epic terrain of Fernie Alpine Resort.
For CSIA Level 2 you will need to demonstrate a high level of skill while skiing a variety of terrain and snow conditions. You'll also need to demonstrate and teach to intermediate skiers; so you'll have a good technical understanding of skiing and the ability to plan and deliver lessons.
Fear not though - our instructors will spend six weeks working on your technique, while you have fun skiing the best terrain in Fernie, and teach you how to pass on these highly refined skills.
You'll be able to make yourself at home at our 42 room hotel. Our comfortable spacious rooms all contain queen sized beds and en suite bathrooms. Plus, the onsite facilities are amazing with fully equipped kitchen, library, games room, movie theatre, bar, restaurant, laundry facilities, hot tub and sauna!
You'll enjoy weekday breakfasts and hearty evening meals four nights per week, so you'll be fully nourished for you action packed daytimes!
Admittedly a lot of your time will be spent in Fernie's amazing ski area, but we will also help you to squeeze in so much more into your six weeks.
We will arrange technical sessions and social events in the evenings, including trips to the local curling rink or ice hockey matches.
You will also be able to join an avalanche safety course as well as a day cat-skiing making fresh tracks in the backcountry.
If you're in a hurry, download a brochure. However, some things are better when you take time over them, so we recommend getting a brochure by post and enjoying it with a cuppa...
