Career Break
What better time to get away from the economic problems the world is facing and head to the mountains for a while to live the life you normally only enjoy on a week's holiday? Our courses provide a structured way of learning new skills and massively improve your ski or snowboard technique.
Many great reasons to take a career break
Many of our clients come away for a season with us because they have worked flat out for years and need to recharge their batteries, have a change of scenery and get some fresh air into their lungs. Others feel a bit despondent with being in the same job for too long and want some time to reavaluate how to get out of the rut and change paths. Taking time out gives you a chance to think about your priorities in life and to refocus on what you want to achieve.
One thing’s for sure, you’ll return from your break feeling fit, healthy, refreshed, revitalised and energised.
Course options for your career break
Our range of courses and camps offer the chance to live and travel in the Canadian Rockies developing your ski or snowboard technique, while meeting people from all walks of life and making life-long friendships. You also have the opportunity to enhance your CV with new professional qualifications.
We have a range of courses to suit you, whether you want to become an instructor or just want a break with a purpose, perhaps to master the backcountry.
6 Week "MTM" Off Piste Camp
Held in Fernie, our six week 'Master the Mountain' course is all about improving your technique as much as possible, both on the piste and in the powder before really focussing on backcountry exploration. There is a option to gain the level 1 instructor qualification, but mostly you'll be working on your own skills and technique. The trip highlight comes in the last week, when you take a heli trip to spend a few days in a backcountry cabin, where you'll tour the wilderness and ski or ride bottomless powder.
