Fernie’s amazing late season snow pack
Fernie is still seeing epic conditions this late in the season, and we reckon it’s got to have one of the best snow packs in the world right now, with a base of over 4m. For April, that’s pretty good going! Here’s how it compares to the snow packs in the upper elevations of some of the other Canadian resorts:
Fernie 434cm
Marmot Basin 135cm
Big White 323cm
Whistler 352cm
Panorama 185cm
Sunshine Village 240cm
Lake Louise 185cm
And, in general, Canada’s kicking Europe’s butt still:
Meribel 100cm
Chamonix 150cm
Verbier 160cm
