Snowboard Makes

If you are thinking about coming on one of our courses, it’s important to have the right gear. It’s better to buy the gear out there as you’ll be surrounded by professionals and with the discounts that are offered you’ll end up saving a small fortune….plus who doesn’t get excited about buying some fresh gear to break in? Have a read of our review of the top snowboard makes on the market.

Burton – Worldwide giants in the snowboard industry, mass manufactured but good quality products from boards to beanies and everything in between. Burton custom is an especially good value range. Their team includes the x-games king Shaun White and the snowboarding legend Terje Haakonsen.

Arbour – Unique and stylish boards from the little known American company. Check out the website and see for yourself why these boards are always an eye catcher in the ski-lift queues. I personally ride an Arbour element and it’s never let me down, perfect design for speed, park and kicking back in the pow!

Forum Snowboards – Great boards with a touch of artistic flair that will surely make you stand out on the slopes.

Ride – Specialising in Park-tastic boards for a good old throw down hard. I also highly recommend their bindings. Simple and light-weight but tough as kryptonite. Above all affordable.

Illuminati Snowboards – Not the widest range of boards, but the ones that they do make are good. Also, currently a great sale when you buy from the website. Offering discounts between 40% and 70%. Check it out.

Rossignol – A french maker of high quality mountain gear. Originally specialising in ski’s and now top quality snowboards.

Head – Widely known for other types of sporting equipment they make. Still, Head has produced a wide range of reliable snowboards with great buying guide on the website.

Rough Snowboards – A small Italian producer of high quality boards.

Salomon – Another world famous outdoor activities equipment maker. They offer a good range of snowboards and equipment.

Sims – Along with Burton, Sims are one of the original snowboard makers. The years and experience have helped them to design great boards.

Bataleon – Sleek selection of boards embodying triple base technology (TBT) that’s worth checking out.

Rome – Wanna rule the park? These guys know what they’re doing when it comes to it. Check their range out to see what suits you.

Prior – Handcrafted boards produced straight out of whistler!

All these sites are really good but I would recommend going instore somewhere to get a good look at and get a feel for the boards. It’s especially good to check out the flexibility and height of the board so you can get the best ride for you. There are some good stores all over the place such as SS20, Noah’s Arc, Boardwise and TSA
