Europe and Canada, homes of the heavyweights of world ski resorts, face another season under the critical eye of the ski and snowboard travelling public. Already it seems that Europe is against the ropes…

The first week of our Banff 3 week ski and snowboard instructor course has been really eventful, with tonnes of early season powder for our trainees play around in.

I’ve just been sitting in the office having mid-summer snow withdrawals. It’s only a matter of time before reports start coming back from the Southern Hemisphere about how much fun their winter is. It would be great to make it over to NZ, and I highly recommend that those with the time / cash do! But for the majority of us northerners, we’ll just have to grin, bear it and wait for another few months!
