Auction of 70′s & 80′s ski clothing
Every April in Fernie there an event called Hot Dog day when most people dress up in 70s and 80s ski gear and hit the slopes for a fun day looking flare! The name originates from the cult ski movie Hotdog.

The other day on my way to see our group in Whistler, I took a small plane from Cranbrook Airport (an hour from Fernie) to Vancouver.
The weather was perfect and the views of British Columbia’s various mountain ranges were awesome. Photos from plane windows never look that impressive but hopefully these three give an idea of the scale of Western Canada’s mountain wilderness.

We don’t necessarily encourage this but we thought one of our seasonnaire’s dedication to the cause was news worthy after he got a tattoo of Canada’s national emblem, the Maple Leaf with the letters O.G.S inside. The O.G.S is Fernie’s Old Grocery Store which NONSTOP converted into an awesome lodging, complete with pool and fooseball tables for NONSTOPpers. Now that’s a lasting memory! ![]()
