Red Mountain 11 Week Ski Instructor Course ‘07 – Week 8
by Tim Boyd
Another great week in Rossland with many activities enjoyed by the NONSTOP crew. Keeping up with its reputation it hasn’t stopped snowing all week. We had a particularly awesome powder day last Thursday which was enjoyed by all. In the past seven days we had a total of 152cm!!! We’ve been swimming in it!!!
A great week of food yet again at Clancy’s, we have all been enjoying the meals there and the 6 o’clock feeding ritual has become a much loved part of our NONSTOP life.
At the weekend we took a trip down to the nearby town of Trail on Friday to check out the Trail Smoke Eaters in a game of ice hockey. It was a fun night in the snow on Saturday for those who decided to take part in the winter camping activity. We hiked into the backcountry and found a suitable camping spot. It was hard working digging our snow caves but we were able to relax around a camp fire with a hot toddy afterwards. Some of the guys were a little on the cool side in the morning but it was a fun night and an experience that we won’t forget!
Overall it’s been yet another great week for all of us here in Rossland. Better sign off now and get back to Rossland life…. hope life for you is as good as it is for us!
