Fernie 11 Week Snowboard Instructor Course ‘07 – Week 7

The week started with another fabulous day of touring with Smiley Dave. The conditions weren’t ideal, but the day was AWSOME!

Another group got to spend the day learning how to package breaks and cuts on the first aid course.

It was, yet again a great week with our instructors, it seems there is no end to their knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport and Thursday was another big booter day anyone brave. There was some massive air and some even bigger crashes.

For the weeks social, we played road hockey outside the OGS. Teams of 5 with sticks chasing a tennis ball around in the semi dark. A true Canadian experience. The games ended when all 3 tennis balls were lost, but the good times lasted long into the night.

This weekend brought some torrential precipitation of the R type so cat-boarding had to be postponed but we look forward to that.
