Fernie 11 Ski and Snowboard Instructor Course ’05 – Week 2
Getting to know Fernie…
Most of us seem to be over our jet lag and getting our ski and snowboard legs back. We are slowly getting to know the mountain and town – it’s all very new and exciting! My house is really nice and cosy and we are all getting along really well. Unfortunatly the snow isn’t great due to the recent rain but there is nothing we can do about the weather – I am sure there will be snow soon. I am beginning to learn how to be as optimistic as the Canadians! At the end of the week we had a great day of coaching at near by Kimberley Resort. My instructor this week has been Glen, who is probably the most solid rider I have ever seen. I am learning loads and looking forward to riding the pow (when it comes!)
